First things first: this site is the product of sheltering in place for only 4 days.  That's all it took.  4 days.  4 days of relative isolation before I got bored enough to create a blog.  God help us all. 

Now, I have lots of friends who have blog sites.  So, I hope what I'm about to say won't offend any of them: the narcissism required to launch a blog site is dizzying.  I'm not sure how people do it.  I'm pushing on, but not without a fair amount of inner conflict and the occasional bout of nauseousness.  That said, because there are as many as 7 people out there that care about what I think, onward and courageously for them I forge.

If you're reading this, you probably know plenty about me.  But just in case: US Marine, former FBI Special Agent, business executive, international business owner, Pilot, Dive Master, published musician, mediocre student, decent skier, horrible bowler, average golfer, lover of Dogs, Guns, Classic Cars and Irish Whiskey, Spartan racer, work-in-progress Christian, devoted father and husband, and an unapologetic believer that America holds an exceptional place in history and on the global stage.  

Finally, I believe in constructive conflict.  I believe in the ability to engage in open, unrehearsed, and potentially offensive dialogue.  I believe it's that dialogue that illuminates the path for protecting our country, our common good, and ultimately - Liberty itself.
